A Unique Opportunity

On the heels of our smash hit production of Drama 101 last year, Bravo Academy is gearing up to produce two more shows at this year’s festival! A cast of Emerging Artists (ages 18-29) will tackle a fresh edit of NMTI’s classic favorite The Crack of Doom while our teen cast (ages 13-19) will bring an entirely new show to the festival; Super School. Both shows will be headed by a team of industry professionals and provide students with a unique opportunity to work, and grow with a talented group of like minded individuals in a professional environment. Performers will be entitled to a profit share of the proceeds from the Festival.

Crack of Doom is an original Canadian musical by Matt Bernard and Suzy Wilde, which was first performed at Bravo Academy for New Music Theatre Intensives in 2018

The year is 2020. It has been reported that a giant meteor is heading towards Earth and will strike in 3 months. Students and staff at Harrington High School receive the terrible news, and each reacts in a different way. While some seek to find a way to stop the disaster or escape the impending doom, others try to make the most of what little time they have left.

On her first day at Super Public High School, however, she discovers that she isn’t the only one struggling to control her “gifts.” Will Alissa and her new classmates be able to overcome their insecurities to win the cross-town All-Powers Tournament? And more importantly, will they rise to the occasion when they discover a supervillain in their midst? Super School is a show about friendship, ability, and what it takes to be a hero.
